Off-Campus Access to Library E-Resources
Chittagong University Central Library provides secure, 24/7 off-campus access to our subscribed electronic resources (including IEEE Xplore, ScienceDirect, SpringerLink, and more). Whether you are conducting research from home or traveling, you can access institutional subscriptions using one of the two methods below.
Method 1: BDRen TigerFed (Shibboleth Authentication)
Best for: Quick web-browser access on any device without installing software. Requirement: Your institutional CU email address (@cu.ac.bd).
Method 2: Library Private VPN (Tailscale/Headscale Gateway)
Best for: A seamless, single-setup connection that routes your entire device through the campus network. Perfect for accessing resources across mobile apps, multiple open browser tabs, and checking direct IP-restricted portals. Requirement: Your institutional CU email address (@cu.ac.bd).
